The Junior Accountant for Tax Support ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Tax Support transactions in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements. Assists Local tax departments in compiling tax information / reports (VAT and tax refund), actively involved in the result follow-up activities.

Major tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day activities of the Tax Support process including issue identification, evaluation as well as resolution for the following process areas:
• Responsible to the tax set-up
• Country specific manual tax processes
• Tax data review and preparation
• Preparation of Tax declaration
• Tax payment and adjustment
• Management of tax audit queries
• Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures by team members.
• Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.

• Degree in Economics or Business Administration with major in accounting.
• Willingness to learn.
• Proactive attitude.
• Preferable experience in a complex and international business environment.
• Strong focus on details by prioritizing topics based on aligned timeline.
• Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
• Strong communication skills with ability to effectively present concepts to cross-functional teams, customers and stakeholders.
