Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose of the role:
A key role in the delivery is the Space planner. The Space planner has overall responsibility for the creation and maintenance of all space drawings within the platform including 2D and 3D versions. They will ensure all space measurement is maintained and that all space related attributes will be maintained according to the global standards. They will liaise with contacts within the business to capture changes to ensure SLA’s and report delivery deadlines are met.
Space planner has responsibility within preparing space planning projects, test fits/fit outs of client’s premises considering all necessary space standards.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Update CAD drawings and the platform to reflect additions and changes to building layouts; ensure accuracy of input by undertaking verification activities with other personnel and clients.
  • Manage execution/support architectural and space planning projects including including 2DS and 3D studies/drafts and visualizations.
  • Ensure space standards and business rules are followed and policed.
  • Ensure drawing standards such as layering and naming conventions are followed.
  • Maintain space numbering methodology within the platform according to standards and local requirements.
  • Provide reports and analysis using the platform to support contract deliverables.
  • Work to meet project commitments related to time constraints on deliverables and quality expectations.
  • Distribute templates to capture changes to all associated individuals and manage the timely receipt including escalation processes where applicable.
  • Seek and implement continuous improvement opportunities that improve efficiency and benefit clients and other team members; keep abreast of technology changes and training requirements related to the role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Excellent drafting skills in AutoCAD
• Excellent drafting skills in Archicad, Revit, or other 3D modelling software
• Previous knowledge of any space management platforms preferred (Manhattan, Archibus, Tririga, Planon, etc.)
• Strong comprehension of industry standards in space management.
• High attention to detail.
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills, especially communication (verbal / written).
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• Proficient in use of software especially MS Office applications
• English language - communicative
