Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
1. Manage appropriate timelines to ensure timely completion of projects
2. Establish and improve process capabilities
3. Develop and maintain process documentation
4. Analyze problems using analytical solving techniques to provide systematic resolution to root cause
5. Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery and cost expectations
6. Work with other engineering team members to design manufactural new products.
7. Develop, test and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and lead cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas
8. Lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas
9. Participate in APQP activities to ensure that process and tooling concerns are addressed to successfully implement HCR product launches.
10. Create and refine process documentation, fixtures, etc. for new processes
11. Establish, report and monitor appropriate key performance metrics to ensure effectiveness of standardized systems
12. Create, implement, and continuously improve a system for proactively and reactively cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all machines in production area.
13. Support the quality function in corrective and preventative action implementation for internal and externally recognized failures.
14. Lead and support continuous improvement activities in the production area to improve quality and reduce cost.
