Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Being responsible for an adequate supply of competent candidates (direct, indirect, salaried) to fulfil requirements of the plant
• Ensuring the plant´s compliance with all corporate HR policies and procedures
• Responding to requests for HR measurables
• Managing communication with Labor Unions and negotiating the Collective Agreement
• Organizing recruitment and selection and initiating assignment of all salaried and indirect new hires
• Conducting area surveys to determine rates of pay, fringe benefits and availability of labor for employees
• Planning training and development of salaried and indirect staff and optimizing employee involvement and motivation
• Fulfilling the role of Communication Champion for all Automotive Group Europe communications on a plant basis
• Administering various employee relation’s policies such as the Attendance Control Program, Sick Leave Program, and Vacation Scheduling Procedure
• Monitoring turnover of employees for causes of turnover and recommending programs and policies to help minimize turnover and training costs and providing the Regional HR Management with reports on such HR measurable
• Taking full responsibility for the Plant HR Plan and reporting needs regarding salaried employees and labor relation issues to the Regional HR Office
• Establishing and administering procedures for the initiation and maintenance of personnel records
• Driving an active safety program, acting as a permanent chair of the Plant Safety Committee, analyzing all accidents for unsafe conditions and initiating actions to eliminate the causes of accidents
• Analyzing protective equipment and clothing to reduce employee exposure to hazardous or toxic working conditions, periodically conducting supervisory training sessions on the proper use of protective equipment and clothing
• Investigating employee complaints and recommending settlements to ensure uniform application of the plant´s rules and personnel policies
• Providing the Regional Payroll Centre with all data necessary for payroll to be implemented on time
• Being responsible for all GDPR relations
• Ensuring compliance to the Slovak Labor Code and the Collective Agreement and other country regulations
• Assuring budget preparation and monthly budget control
• Leading succession planning and development strategy
• Coordinating the internal and external communications (employee meetings, communication with local authorities - work inspections, social security, schools and law advisors)

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Economics, Business or HR management
• Minimum 5 years´ generalist HR experience and minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team
• Previous at least 3 years´ experience in the automotive production environment
• Good knowledge of the reward management, training and development and payroll systems
• Familiar with the local recruitment market
• Understanding of the Health & Safety practices and First Aid
• Familiar with the automotive standards (IATF, VDA)
• Knowledge or the Slovak Labor Code and related regulations and of SOX and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) norms
• Advanced skills in using the Microsoft suite of applications
• Fluent English
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional written, verbal and graphics communication capabilities
• Advanced skills in active listening, problem definition, problem resolution, research, analysis, and executive briefings / reporting
• Demonstrated ability to manage by influencing others within and outside the organization
• Attention to details
• Able to effectively work with little or no immediate supervision on several different projects at one time and meet the required deliverables on time, per specifications / standards, and on budget
