IT Requirement Data Analyst

Job Description
The data acquisition team in Alpiq is mainly responsible for market data download and distribution throughout the whole company. Additionally, the team is also responsible for systems related to the end of day process.
 
This role is responsible for:

Communication with business users and gathering of requirements related to data that support their daily activities
Translating requirements into technical solutions, making sure proposed solutions fit business needs and are delivered in agreed time
Documenting the solutions, creating deployment plans, organizing all subsequent activities with the in-house development team needed to achieve the targets
Definition and organization of testing, getting feedback from business users (acceptance testing)
Maintaining existing solutions (3rd level support) / daily operation / user training

 
Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree
Strong analytical thinking and interest to understand business needs from the users and the ability to translate them into technical specifications
Knowledge of Data Warehousing and SQL
Good communication skills for communicating various system issues and meeting the customer’s expectations
Effective management of time to assure commitments are met without delay
Self-motivated, able to work independently
Language skills: fluency in English is a must, Czech, German and / or French would be an advantage
Full time job based on standard permanent employment contract
