Compliance Analyst - IT Risk Management

What will your responsibilities be?

• Continuously identify, assess, measure and monitor information technology risk by performing hands-on risk assessments.
• Perform evidence-based information security risk assessments for internal and external systems and applications providing position statements with recommended action items and options including impact analysis to ensure information resources are adequately protected with appropriate security controls that ensure compliance with policy and standards.
• Identify and communicate recommended security and control deficiencies for business units.
• Document and monitor the implementation of controls for applications, technologies & assets.
• Develop, document, maintain and support the information security risk management program in line with information security policy, practices, and leading industry standards.
• Work closely with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, Procurement, & Compliance to identify compliance baselines from regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.
• Work with technology and business teams to develop and document risk mitigation action plans, along with recommendations to reduce information security risk within their areas.
• Work with information security leadership, develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
• Research and evaluate current or emerging security technologies to support organizational cyber security objectives
• Assist in the execution of testing of controls for various reasons (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, TiSax, internal reviews, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities:
• Documenting IT risk management policies, practices and procedures.
• Developing, maintaining and updating key IT risk indicators and IT risk register.
• Monitoring and tracking the status of risk mitigation plans.
• Supporting and maintaining a tool to conduct risk management activities.
• Working with technology and business teams to facilitate risk assessments, risk evaluation and reporting.
• Prepare and present risk assessment reports to system owners, business units, and others.
• Evangelizing business and IT areas on security principles and good business practices approaches to improve security risk posture.

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in information security, risk, or controls.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of IT Controls and Risk Management concepts and principles
• Understanding of security management and/or information risk and compliance processes and industry frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, COBIT).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Ability to work within a team setting as well as manage individual security projects
• Strong analytical skills, to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls
• A strong customer/client focus, with the ability to manage expectations appropriately, provide a superior customer/client experience and build long-term relationships
• Strong and proven problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Project and functions)
Preferred Qualifications:
• CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CISM Highly preferred. Other technical security certifications beneficial
• Experience in a Big 4 or similar security consulting, internal audit, internal controls, or risk assurance role, is preferred
