Data Engineer (80-100%)
Working with exciting data platforms such as Palantir Foundry and Azure Synapse in the Group Data Services (GDS) you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data pipelines and analytics solutions to support key decision-making business processes jointly with teams from across Swiss Re. You will be expected to take end-to-end ownership of deliverables, working with peers and partners internationally across Europe, the US as well as our teams in Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Our multicultural team plays a crucial role with People planning, Cloud Consumption, Infrastructure cost planning for all business units within Swiss Re.
About You
To be successful in the role, you need to have these technical skills and ambitions:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field with proven experience in cloud data engineering.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Ambition to build production-grade data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
Having the following experience and interests is a huge plus:
- Experience in distributed computing/databases (e.g., Spark).
- Interest in working close to data scientists and domain experts.
- Interest in applying proper software engineering techniques during development.
- Curiosity to understand end to end the contribution of your work and more generally the value of our products.

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2200 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
