System Administrator/DevOps Engineer
The Zurich Risk Modelling Platform (RMP) is a complex system consisting of in-house and third-party applications running on a combination of Linux servers, Windows servers, and SQL Server databases. The Linux services are primarily in Docker containers running under Kubernetes.
The system is developed and operated by a DevOps team with development primarily in Zurich and operations primarily in Bratislava.
As System Administrator/DevOps Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:
• This role is for an experienced system administrator able to troubleshoot and resolve outages with Linux servers. (20%)
• Performing regular maintenance tasks and resolving service desk tickets. (20%)
• Kubernetes configuration and maintenance (30%)
• Scripting and automation of operations (30%)

As System Administrator/DevOps Engineer, your skills and experience will ideally include:
• University level education, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences or Engineering
• 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Linux system administrator
• Linux system administration required (RedHat) intermediate level
• Intermediate Kubernetes and Docker containers experience required
• Intermediate Python scripting
• CI/CD experience with tools such as GIT and Jenkins
• Firewall and networking knowledge and ability to network traffic troubleshoot (Wireshark, tcpdump)
• Reverse proxies configuration and troubleshooting
• Candidate interested in learning cutting edge technologies and tools
• Fluent in English
• University level education, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences or Engineering
• 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Linux system administrator
