About the role
We look for an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible individual with strong technical background to join our growing Non-Life Insurance team, in the field of Captives Pricing.
Captives are insurance companies completely owned by a company not involved in the insurance sector, set up with the primary purpose of insuring the parent company or associated group companies. Zurich has over 20 years’ experience in the Captive and Alternative Risk Transfer industry, and provides customized solutions for any type of Captive, anywhere in the world.
As pricing Analyst for Captives your responsibilities will involve:
• Automation of existing processes using Excel, R or similar
• Update of actuarial assumptions in pricing models
• Create analysis which facilitate understanding of the data and trends, and provide insights to key stakeholders
• Being a subject matter expert and consultant for R within the team

As Pricing Analyst for Captives your skills and experience will ideally include:
• University education (Master’s degree or similar) in Financial mathematics, Actuarial science, Statistics, Quantitative methods, or similar
• 1-3 years’ experience in an analytical field – non-life actuarial, non-life pricing, claims analytics, or similar is an advantage, but the role is also suitable for a fresh graduate
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
• Knowledge of programming languages, ideally in R
• English - advanced, both written and spoken
Analytical thinking
• Good self-management
• Self-driven and able to work independently
• No preliminary knowledge of Captives is required
