Job description, responsibilities and duties
Become a part of Data & Analytics - Analytic Architecture team and support Zurich North American business. We provide strategic portfolio support to enable data-driven strategic decisions. Help us scale up the suite of data and analytics for our customers and leverage our capabilities to uncover claims trends and insights for underwriting.
As Data Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
• Developing production ready pipelines (using Python or pySpark)
• Deploying trained Python models developed by Data Scientists to the automation node
• Assist with preparing analytics files to be used for Data Modelling projects and helping with programming and writing SQL
• Creating a framework of checks and gates for production pipelines
• Researching and conducting testing of new techniques using Dataiku APIs for integration with other platforms and technologies
• Testing Dataiku and Databricks – develop and transform Hive to Spark SQL

University education (Master's degree)
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Personality requirements and skills
• University education (Master's degree);
• Experience with programming and data tools such as SQL, Hive, Python, Spark, PySpark;
• Knowledge of data science platforms and/or cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Dataiku, Structured Streaming is an advantage;
• Experience in Enterprise Data Engineering using Hadoop technologies;
• Passion and understanding of Cloud technologies and architectures;
• English – Upper intermediate (B2 or better), spoken and written
• Experience with programming and data tools such as SQL, Hive, Python, Spark, PySpark;
