Job description, responsibilities and duties
As International Reinsurance Accounting Team Lead your main responsibility will be a combination of people development and working on international reinsurance transactions with an end-to-end view.
In this key role your main areas of responsibility will be:
• Leading a team of specialists as people manager and allocating tasks between team members
• Ensure the correct set-up of Captive, CoReinsurance and Facultative Reinsurance structures within the SAP/ZIRIS system.
• Timely and correct reconciliation of technical bookings with related cash items
• Execution of technical bookings and related payments
• Perform analysis on existing SAP/ZIRIS reinsurance structures and corrections as required
• Clarifications related to cash clearing for any overdue un-cleared items.
• Monitor progress and report on delays, develop action plans to reduce impact on closing processes where required.
• Data analysis and interpretation in order to identify patterns and proactively provide solutions.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders and maintain good relationships with them.
• Active participation at project work and training initiatives

Personality requirements and skills
As a Specialist in Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• Strong organisational and communication skills; previous management experience is a plus
• 4 or more years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry
• Completed academic education on Bachelor’s degree level or similar
• A good understanding of international program business and knowledge of SAP FS-CD is a strong asset
• Ability to motivate people and drive a change
• Very good analytical skills to combine the relevant information,
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in English (any further language is an asset)
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
