Job description, responsibilities and duties
Provides project technical leadership in the CSS department and is responsible for the implementation of software development best practices. Decides software architectures that define the interaction and integration between multiple software systems to be used by other developers. Investigates, decides, and implements new programming technologies and transfers that knowledge to others. Leads detailed project-planning efforts on software projects and may act as a project manager on large projects.
• Responsible for technical reviews of software systems.
• Acts as a liaison with other IT groups & coordinates planning of technical tasks.
• Responsible for incorporating requirements of multiple operating systems & platforms when designing & planning.

Independently maintains, enhances, and creates complex programs by performing the full range of programming, testing, debugging, and modifying of affected reports, data, files, and modules
• Researches and develops software specifications needed for projects.
• Creates required project & program documentation.
• Troubleshoots programming tickets.
Performs routine to moderately complex analysis and design for various business applications.
• Ensures customer acceptance by soliciting their involvement on designs, functionality, and testing.
• Maintains communications with involved parties to ensure systems continually meet the customer expectations.
• Prepares data models, functional flow diagrams, and other documentation as required by departmental standards and methodologies.
• Assist less experienced personnel in accomplishing their assignments in the most effective manner.
• Participates in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills, communication skills, business knowledge, and knowledge of information systems products and procedure.
