Job description, responsibilities and duties
Procurement of Logistics and Supply chain services for the region EU/SAF

Leading international transport sourcing projects

Logistics service tender management (Sea, Air, Intermodal, Consolidation, customs brokerage)

Perform Requests for quotations and information

Negotiations and technical reviews with suppliers

Prepare and present Sourcing recommendations to obtain European and Global Management approval

Frame Contract creation, negotiation and maintenance

Supplier development & performance management (KPI)

Drive continuous improvement actions & cost reduction activities

Supplier dispute resolution/claims management

Liaison with internal stakeholders

Co-operation Commodity Strategy development
Trade compliance
• Support logistics teams and customs agents regarding import and export clearances
-Monitor customs authorization per plant
• Support relevant teams regarding Country of Origin and Preferences issues
-Work with the preference calculation software
-Create Long Term Supplier Declaration (LTSD) for YFI customer
-Require Long Term Supplier Declaration from YFI supplier
• Classification of YFI goods (Customs Tariff Number)
• Create work instructions for internal teams
• Work on IT-concepts to improve internal customs procedures
• Work with TMS (Trade Management System) for export business
• Require BTI (Binding Tariff Information) for YFI items through customs agents
• Prepare trainings for customs related documents like invoices or Incoterms 2020
• Support procurement team when it comes to new sourcing, means also to get in contact with the supplier to be prepared with documents and regulation before the physical shipment starts
Requirements for the employee

Personality requirements and skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Trade Compliance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in International Freight service, Automotive industry experience
preferred
• Global Market knowledge in Sea-and Airfreight, Eurasia Rail
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customs trade business, focus on import
• Diversified modal management background, procurement experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in usage of e-platforms for procurement
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Experience in international trading with understanding of Incoterms
• Strong interest in global strategy and different regulations to manage
• Strong level of compliance
• Understanding of supplier cost drivers and total cost of procurement
• Result orientated working mode – ability to set goals with company objectives
• Strong attention to detail, planning/organization skills and follow up
• Strong data analysis skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Languages: fluent in English mandatory, German desired
