Job description, responsibilities and duties

 
  • Establishment, development, direction and execution of procurement strategies for responsible commodities globally and regionally. Significant focus on a cost competitive supply base, supplier optimization, supplier quality and supply chain performance, driving MBBP, and supplier development.
  • Maintain commodity bidders list is up to date and suppliers are sourceable per defined requirements.
  • Lead, develop and manage commodity roadmaps in order to meet or exceed planned goals for cost savings and material economics. Lead cost savings activities specific to PLI’s, MBBP gap closure roadmaps and VAVE.
  • Lead MBBP workstreams for responsible commodities.
  • Coach and support buyers through sourcing support, review of strategies, and operational procurement items.
  • Drive/Support/Lead any additional projects (YFT,APD, Outsourcing, BINC) that support improving the run rate of the business or our competitive & strategic position in the market.
  • Lead annual Business Review process with strategic suppliers to ensure supplier specific roadmaps are met and alignment and coordination for regional and global strategies.    
  • Support supplier development team by leading supplier executive reviews with low performing suppliers, support and negotiate supplier charge back escalations, maintain and update supplier scorecards.
  • Lead and initiate the interaction with the APD team and YFT for demands and motivate supply end innovation and for global alignment.  
  • Lead, motivate, support and develop procurement team members relating to the Commodity core teams 
  • Support of Make or Buy decisions  
  • Guarantee compliance with BOS, PRP, POS and SOX procedures 
  • Co-ordination of all advanced and operational procurement activities within the Commodity organization starting from phase 0 and over lifetime.  

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Degree level in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and Business Administration would be an advantage
  • 5+ years within automotive, procurement or commodity related industry 
  • Procurement, operational, strategic experience would be an advantage
  • Strong in emotional intelligence, facilitating change, gaining commitment, ability to communicate with impact, managing differences
  • Willingness to travel 30 - 50% of working time
