Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a 5th year law student or an lawyer with up to 1 year of experience to join our Bratislava office. As well as possessing excellent academic credentials and legal knowledge, candidates should be commercially-minded, with a solid grasp of the market and an enthusiasm for the cut-and-thrust of domestic and international deal-making.

Candidates should display the organizational skills and composure needed to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced practice and managing multiple workstreams and communication channels.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to negotiate effectively and to manage the flow of information between practice groups, clients and stakeholders. Regularly working in large, international and multidisciplinary teams, you should also demonstrate a collaborative approach and an ease in interacting with a wide range of legal and business professionals. Proactive and self-motivated, you should be eager to take ownership of your work product and demonstrate the skill, talent and commitment to deliver outstanding results.

As a legal intern, your responsibilities will include a broad range of communication, logistical and analytical tasks, understanding and disseminating transactional information, and liaising with colleagues, clients and stakeholders. Supported by your colleagues at every step, you will find this work both challenging and rewarding and as a team we will ensure that you are given the training and hands-on experience needed to flourish in this field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drafting of various agreements (corporate, M&A, financing, construction)
• Conducting brief or somewhat more complex research, or drafting of memoranda (search for judicature, commentaries to specific legal issues) on broad range of topics
• Drafting of filings addressed to courts and authorities
• Involvement in due diligence projects
• Communication with clients
• Assisting clients with corporate establishment, registration, transformation, governance and liquidation
• Providing direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day provision of legal services to leading international and domestic clients
• Drafting of all types of corporate documents required for organization of all types of companies
