R&D – Electrical Motors Design Engineer

Your task in this role will include:

• Develop and deliver technical solutions to deliver specific Motor solutions for current and future projects.
• Partner with global motor experts, external consultants, and suppliers to identify most efficient and effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate all technical activities required to deliver project Motor performance, schedule targets (including Simulation, Testing, building and leveraging global knowledge from other projects and regions).
• Create and maintain a work plan to manage the detailed technical work and a high-level view to enable ongoing communication and alignment with senior leaders.
• Proactively work with subsystem, component, and manufacturing engineers to identify feasible and affordable technical solutions to meet project motor targets.
• Build technical capability for delivering results efficiently and predictably within your projects, creating and maintaining a motors road map.

Background and Experiences:
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in the same or very similar role.
• Motors comproved experience. Specification, testing and analysis.
• Supplier quality management / problem solving (Brush life, Noise, Performance, etc).
• Motor approval institutes knowledge (IMQ, VDE, UL, etc).
• Practical experience in Product Development or Project Management would be an asset.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and Google documents.
• Academic and practical experience in as many of the following areas as possible:
- Motor Application / specification.
- Reliability / accelerated life tests.
- Interacting with suppliers.
- Leading projects.
• Analytical skills and ability to interpret data and test reports.
• Sense of urgency, multitasking, proactiveness. Excellent communication skills.
• English is a must.
