Job description, responsibilities and duties

Objectives
The Project Manager will be responsible for the drafting and management of EU /Nationally funded projects in the field of Research and Development.

Main tasks
• Drafting proposals
o Networking with Research and Innovation stakeholders
o Identification of potential coordinators and partners
o Active contribution to client acquisition
o Analysis of calls for proposals
o Writing of proposals
o Management of the whole preparation process
o Preparation of budget
o Preparation of administrative aspects for proposal submission
• Support project coordination with
o Proactive monitoring of progress against work plan objectives;
o Proactive monitoring of deadlines, milestones and deliverables;
o Proactive budget management;
o Operational support in preparation of scientific reports to the funding body
o Preparation of financial reports to the funding body
o Operational support in preparation, dissemination, finalization and distribution ofall contractual work;
o Management of all governance bodies’
preparation, agenda, minutes, follow up;
o Ensuring appropriate communication related to the projects;
o Liaison with the funding bodies;

Any other activity of managerial nature in the field of the Company’s activities.

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

o Master degree in sciences/engineering or in project management is advantage

Experience
o At least 3 years of proven experience in drafting and managing complex R&D projects (Operational program Research & Development, Competitiveness and economic growth)

Knowledge and Skills
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
o Excellent organizational skills:
o Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively and deliver results on time;
o Organization, particularly in meeting deadlines,
o Attention to details and coordination;
o Proven track record in working proactively, responsibly and independently.
o Ability to participate constructively in decision making processes;
o Effective communication skills, including written and presentational reports;
o Effective interpersonal skills: open-minded team player (able to communicate, plan and work within an team as well as independently to a high standard),
hands-on, alert, stress resistant and multitasking;
o Knowledge of funding requirements and rules of EU Framework programs, in depth
o Excellent computer skills (in particular Excel)
