  • Define, plan and manage large projects (often with the involvement of international partners) according to VUB PM methodology
  • Control project schedule, monitor the approved project budget, keep project scope, manage stakeholders expectations and perform regular reporting
  • Maintain all required project documentation up to date
  • Maintain effective formal and informal communication between project stakeholders and inside of a project team
  • Perform effective risk management and act as single point of contact and first point of escalation on managed project
  • Make decisions within agreed internal procedures to define appropriate action and manage project effectively
  • Frequently interacts with key internal stakeholders to gain cooperation or conduct presentation on project status
  • Utilize relevant project management tools and define related processes improvements to meet project targets
  • Collaborate within VUB PMO community including knowledge sharing

Personality requirements and skills

  • At least 5-year long experience as Project manager of IT solutions (implementation and migration)
  • Experience with projects oriented in BI/DWH
  • Provided experiences must be verifiable
  • Excellent communication skills, very good written and spoken English
  • Very good negotiation and social skills
  • Open minded and goal oriented, flexible
  • Active knowledge of PMI or other project management methodology
  • Certification in PM field is an advantage
