Job description, responsibilities and duties
For one of our clients, a major telecommunication provider based in Vienna, we are currently looking for a dedicated Cloud Platform Administrator to join the team of the Infrastructure Services Department.
In this position you are responsible for the OpenStack environment and provide advanced support for our cloud platform that is built on Red Hat OpenStack, CEPH and Cumulus. Furthermore, you are implementing and evolving the guardrails and compliance frameworks for onboarding workloads to AWS.
Your responsibilities
• Support, operate and further evolve the OpenStack environment
• Implementation and control of security and compliance rules
• Optimization and Performance Tuning for the platform
• Handling of tickets and assigned issues
• Further improve the automation of our platform
• Maintain documentation for daily operations and Disaster Recovery
• On call duty
Your Profile
• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, Uni)
• IT experience, preferred in IT infrastructure or telecommunications
• Expert knowledge in Linux
• Unix scripting skills
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies such as OpenStack, AWS
• Willingness to learn and acquire OpenStack, SDN and SDS administration skills
• Experience with modern configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• IT Security Know-How
• Willingness to learn and acquire container orchestration administration skills
• Understanding and experience with the use of dev/ops and agile tooling such as Bitbucket, Git, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Fluent English skills
