Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Operation and administration of Windows Servers
• Troubleshooting problems within the environment
• 2nd and 3rd level on-call support in non-office hours
• Keep the environment documentation accurate to comply with the security and operational standards and procedures
• Handle Incident, Problem and Change management tickets in accordance with SLAs
• Documents operational procedures and works independently according to them
• Ability to trigger preventative actions and capable to analyze root causes of failures
• Act as trainer and advisor for team members
• Strong analytical skill

Personality requirements and skills

• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server of current versions (2003, 2008R2, 2012R2)
• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server related configurations, including Clustering, WSUS, Terminal Services (RDP-TS), PKI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows scripting languages and use of command line (PowerShell)
• Basic knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Willingness and interest in operating Microsoft Windows Server based environments
• Extraordinary communication skills and ability to efficiently work in a multinational teams
• Experience working in an ITIL oriented company is a plus
• Willingness to travel on short business trips abroad
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• German language skills are a plus
