Risk Analytics Intern

About the job
We are looking for an ambitious, preferably final-year student, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with a strong passion for R programming, who is interested in joining us full-time after graduation.
A day in a life of a Risk Specialist:
- You support the design, development, execution, documentation and maintenance of state-of-the-art validation tests and processes for risk models
- You contribute to the development of R codebase, internal IT systems and regular codebase review processes
- You perform high quality validation tests in accordance with the relevant guidelines
- You summarize your conclusions in well-written validation reports, summaries and presentations
- You are actively involved in other projects in the field of quantitative risk management of the UNIQA Group
This role is intended for students based in Slovakia as physical presence in the office will be required 50% of the allocated working time.
Your skills & qualifications
- University student of Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or another quantitative field
- Good knowledge of MS Office and R programming language
- Knowledge of stochastic modelling and tools of quantitative risk management is an advantage
- Familiarity with quantitative analysis and data manipulation
- Proactive and reliable team player
- Good English language skills
