About the job:

UNIQA 4WARD is looking for an ambitious and service-oriented IT Security Architect to join our security team in Bratislava. This position will play a key role in the evolution of UNIQA’s security architecture and functions within the UNIQA Group.

You will provide security guidance for the IT environment and security related subject matter expertise around a wide range of technologies, applications and business initiatives. This role also contains supporting process and technology frameworks to improve the overall security posture and group-wide security awareness and giving advice on this topic area to security officers of the entire UNIQA group in 18 different countries. You will advise key stakeholders and service owners on how to balance security and business requirements appropriately.

A day in the life of an IT Security Architect:

• You provide expertise and guidance on IT security for the entire UNIQA group.
• You work closely with infrastructure and application architects to define security requirements.
• You review solution concepts for new projects, recommend the appropriate security controls and support security engineers with the correct implementation.
• You advance our security endeavor through the optimization of existing and the implementation of new security controls.
• You drive new security projects to improve our overall security maturity.
• You advise and support the local security officers of our international business units.
• You maintain and constantly enhance your knowledge of existing and upcoming threats and the entire cyber risk landscape.
• You assist in the analysis and resolution of security incidents.
• You design and maintain IT security standards and guidelines
• You maintain and improve the Information Security management System (ISMS)

Your required skills and qualifications:

• expert knowledge in IT security
• 4+ years of proven Information Technology experience with strong understanding of network protocols and system design.
• Solid and demonstrable comprehension of Information Security including a full understanding of the cyber risk landscape.
• Hold or working towards a recognized and relevant IT Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CSSP, OSCP, CISM, CISA, etc.)
• A bachelor or masters degree in information security is desirable.
• Good knowledge of information security standards and norms (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, etc.)
• Project delivery experience
• Ability to convert high level requirements into technical designs that are commercially viable and suit their operating environment
• Ability to convey a technical solution to senior management in a clear and concise manner
• Experience with cloud solution architecture in AWS and Microsoft Azure is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• A team player who is hardworking and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize workloads, and to measure and report on current progress
• Must adhere to and promote team standards including documentation
