About the job:

UNIQA 4WARD is looking for an ambitious and service-oriented Cloud Security Specialist to join our security team in Bratislava. This position will play a key role in shaping the future of cloud computing within UNIQA.

You will be responsible for refining our cloud security policies and creating detailed security guidelines for the use of each trusted cloud provider. Also you will be able to contribute to our central, group wide cloud strategy. This role also involves giving advice concerning this topic to security officers of the entire UNIQA group in 18 different countries.

A day in the life of a Cloud Security Specialist:

• You actively support cloud related developments from a cyber security perspective including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• You develop detailed cloud vendor specific security guidelines to be followed when using a cloud provider trusted by UNIQA (currently AWS and Microsoft Azure).
• You evaluate new cloud security technologies together with colleagues from Slovakia and Austria.
• You contribute to security assessments of new cloud based solutions.
• You give advice to all UNIQA security officers in 18 different countries concerning this topic.
• You stay informed to advance UNIQA’s cyber security capabilities to constantly address new attack vectors and threats.
• You develop relevant KPIs and report to the head of security group.

Your required skills and qualifications:

• Hold or working towards a recognized and relevant IT Security or Cloud Security certification (i.e. CISSP, CSSP) or cloud vendor specific certifications (AWS or Azure)
• Experience in the creation of cloud policies, standards and guidelines.
• Experience in securing cloud solutions from Amazon and Microsoft.
• 4+ years of proven Information Technology experience with strong understanding of network protocols and system design.
• Solid and demonstrable comprehension of Information Security including a full understanding of the cyber risk landscape.
• Knowledge of information system architecture and security controls (i.e. firewalls and web application gateways, operating system configurations)
• Project delivery experience
• Ability to convert high level requirements into technical designs that are commercially viable and suit their operating environment
• Ability to convey a technical solution to senior management in a clear and concise manner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• A team player who is hardworking and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize workloads, and to measure and report on current progress
• Must adhere to and promote team standards including documentation
