You will contribute to the reserving calculations in the life insurance business and the continuous improvement of our projection models by using the actuarial software Prophet. Additionally, this role includes the rare opportunity to participate in the Group’s implementation of IFRS 17, including the enhancement of cash flow projection models and the roll-out to UNIQA’s international subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe. A day in the life of a Life Actuary/Prophet Modeller:

• You calculate and validate results in Prophet for Solvency II, and prepare associated Solvency II disclosures
• You maintain, improve and optimize projection models in Prophet
• You prepare model points for Prophet runs, including the clustering of model points for stochastic projections
• You develop IFRS 17 templates for roll-out to UNIQA’s subsidiaries, and maintain existing Solvency II and Embedded Value templates for the Group
• You produce and validate IFRS 17 cash flows in Prophet
• You calculate and validate Market Consistent Embedded Value (MCEV) results in Prophet

Your required skills and qualifications:

• Actuarial education (actuarial science, mathematics or statistics)
• 2 - 3 years of experience as a Life actuary
• Experience in Prophet (deterministic and/or ALS)
• Experience with Solvency II and Embedded Value calculations
• Proactive and reliable team player with developed problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Independent, customer-oriented and self-reliant working style
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; VBA programming is a plus
• Willingness to travel to Headquarters in Vienna, and also on occasion to other UNIQA locations

Advantageous skills:
• First exposure to IFRS 17
• Fluency in German
