Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description
•The Test Designer provides professional expertise in testing architecture, design and framework, allowing for continuous improvement in test efficiency, test cycle times, and completeness of testing coverage while utilizing domain knowledge of test tolls and techniques in a software development environment.
•Participates as a member of a Testing Team.
•Design testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technival specifications.
•Executes tasks related to the producton of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts.
•Analyzes the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.
•Defines, identifies, collects, and organizes detailes information relating to testing requirements.
•Interacts with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria.
•Understands and uses appropriate automated testing processes and tools.
•Stays current on established tools, techniques, and technologies.
•Support knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communitites and improving testing collateral through lessons learned.
•Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks.

•Study of specification provided by other responsible persons to have clear idea what is necessary to test and why.
•Writing documentation for performed test to be able to report it to developers and other involved persons.
•Find weak points ehich needs to be tested / covered in particular application to be more stable, has better performance and is more secure.
•Report founded issues ticketing system that developers know what they need to fix.
•Design and creation of test case matrixes, atest cases, test data regarding to specification / documentation if the individual test cases.
•Documentation of the individual test cases.
•Define evaluation criteria of the individual test cases.
•Selection of appropriate test methods and setting test procedures.
•Manual/Automatic execution of test cases to ensure everything is working as expected.
•Strong communication with developers and other relevant persons to ensure that application and system is doing what id expected.
•Advising the test manager on the definition of a test strategy.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

•2+ years of experience in test case and test procedure specification based on abstract application specifications,

•to be able to read UML diagrams,
•understand the basics of XML, XSLT transformations,
•experience with following applications / tools and CI frameworks: JMeter, HPQC, JIRA, Selenium, Jenkins,
•experiencein system, process and load & performance testing,
•ISTQB certificate, at least Foundation Level,
•Linux basics,
•understanding of mobile systems,
•experience in designing and setting up test automation and setting siutable test environmnets,
•telecommunications background and experience in Core IP Network are desirable.
