Authorized Health & Safety Specialist

- Assists in the identification, development and administration of company safety training programs
- Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements. Provides technical safety and health support and information to all employees
- Coordinate and administer safety training initiatives for the company to ensure compliance with OSHA regulatory and all other regulatory requirements
- Administer mandatory safety training and ensure all newly hired employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors and transferred employees receive proper training
- Assist with the enforcement of OSHA regulations and company policies
- Ensure compliance to audit standards, and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Ensure employees operate in a safe, orderly, and clean environment. Involved in the development of work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly
- Reviews injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance. This will include property in and around the facility
- Serve as a member of the First Aid/CPR Responder/ERT teams
- Conform to the processes and requirements of the synchronized management system
- Achieve effectiveness of the synchronized management system by following the Quality Policy and meeting company objectives
- Performs all other duties as assigned
