About the role
In the Risk Management CorSo team, as the second line of defense, we ensure that our business partners in the first line identify key risks and implement controls that reduce the risk of major incidents impacting the organization by monitoring, analysing and reporting on operational risks in Corporate Solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with Corporate Solutions colleagues, driving a strong risk culture, challenging and supporting them in identifying and mitigating key operational risks.
Responsibilities include:
• Steer Corporate Solutions on effective process and control design, particularly in relation to a dynamically changing environment.
• Collaborat with Governance colleagues to ensure first line ownership of risk identification, assessment and mitigation
• Produce management reports to highlight material risk exposures and behaviours, together with details of operational losses
• Discuss and review issues and operational events raised by business colleagues, ensuring transparent and timely reporting
• Perform risk reviews, jointly with other risk managers, in areas of significant risk exposure
• Work together with the regional Risk Management CorSo teams to ensure operational risk governance framework is implemented consistently across CorSo
• Support the wider Risk Management community in implementing and maintaining an effective control environment in line with established Group methodologies
• Operate within the three lines of defense governance model to ensure allocation of clear responsibilities for the management of operational risk
• Build and maintain working relationships with other assurance functions (e.g. Compliance, GIA and external auditors)

You will be part of the CorSo Global Risk Management team, which is part of Risk Management Corporate Solutions team.
The team is responsible for the risk reporting & analytics and operational risk management activities of the Business Unit.
It comprises of a team of senior experts that provide risk oversight activities on bespoke CorSo activities.
The team works closely with the regional Chief Risk Officers to implement the risk frameworks within the locations and to coordinate global risk topics.
The team is fully embedded in the Group Risk Management organization, working broadly with the Swiss Re Group risk functions.
