Our Group Cost Management unit is responsible for a global Group cost governance and consolidation activities, including cost planning and BU/Group Function target settings, assurance of global cost consolidation and processing, internal and external executive cost reporting and external disclosure, and cost allocation governance for management and financial accounting. The team is part of the Finance Corporate Functions which is a unit reporting to the Group Finance Director and Group CFO of Swiss Re Group, and is being based in Bratislava, allowing for ample career opportunities within the unit.

In your role as Business partner, you would:

• Liaise with various partners of assigned business unit. The expectation is to have the overview of Swiss Re full costs (direct and indirect) for assigned BU, providing analysis and understand the movements for actuals, projections and plan

• Be supporting Divisional cost controllers, Chief Operating Officers and Chief Financial Officers with Service Cost Allocations and Intercompany service agreements

• Quarterly Group Reporting in line with the Corporate US GAAP principles and Economic Valuation method (EVM), including analysis and commentaries preparation and presentation to Senior Finance Management.

• Liaise with various partners and charged with responsibility above. As a custodian of content and systems, you will support business discussions with in-depth model knowledge of collecting, assessing and prioritizing change requests relating to content and systems. In doing so, you will be involved in development of business designs, syndicating and signing-off same with key partners. You will also be responsible for safeguarding the SCA model in line with design principles.

• Will have significant exposure to senior management

About the team

The Group Cost Management Partners team will be a total of 6 team members including yourself, housed within a highly integrated Group Cost Management unit of 25 people based in Zurich, Bratislava and Bangalore. We are part of Finance Corporate Functions, which in total has 190 colleagues.

Our main goal is to be the central point of contact for the divisions on any cost related topic where we ensure close collaboration with the Division Heads, Divisional Executive Offices and Cost representatives such as Department and Cost Centre Heads.

• Experience in controlling/finance or equivalent

• Excellent in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, as well as ability to learn Group planning infrastructure and landscape

• SAP knowledge would be an advantage

• Ability to work independently and make decisions/priorities

• Strong financial acumen

• Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery

• Outstanding international cross-functional stakeholder management; stature and confidence to interact at Senior Management level

• Ability to balance strategic and tactical activities on a regular basis

• Proficiency in written and spoken English
