This is an opportunity to join a developing team with the platform to drive financial performance and, ultimately, shareholder return for Swiss Re. We are now recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in iptiQ. The role will require you to support the consolidation and reporting of the iptiQ divisional results working closely with the operating entity FP&A teams to ensure messaging of the results to Swiss Re Group is accurate and informative. Your direct reporting line will be to the Global Head of FP&A iptiQ with a strong working relationship with the Head Consolidation iptiQ.

About Role:


• At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, etc.) with an understanding / past exposure to accounting principles
• CPA/ACCA certification or equivalent is advantage
• Solid understanding of management accounts and variance analysis
• Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a subject with a numerical basis (Economics / Accounting / Finance / Mathematics etc.)
• Excellent English language skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• You must be comfortable working within a highly collaborative broader functional team
• Be an adaptive, performance and outcome driven individual
• Must demonstrate the ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results
• You are able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work within an appropriate control environment
• Global perspective and solution-oriented attitude

Personality requirements and skills

• Provide support to prepare materials for senior iptiQ and Swiss Re management in all aspects of iptiQ's financial performance

• Work collaboratively across all iptiQ regions working closely with the FP&A leads and their teams, Cost reporting and financial reporting teams

• Pro-actively seek to improve the quality and analysis of the iptiQ divisional results

• Clearly articulate how to remedy and track resolution of identified issues

• Drive consolidation files to bring together iptiQ's financial results and produce key deliverables

• Interface with management and deliver insightful analysis to deliver storylines of results

• Develop outputs to present the iptiQ financial information in an informative and accurate way

• Develop a strong understanding and ownership of insurance (technical) accounting
• Operate as both a challenger, and partner, to the iptiQ business globally

• Work on ad-hoc requests including presentation of comparatives to current periods on specific aspects of iptiQ's performance
