As a Squad Member, you collaborate closely with internal customers and your squad colleagues to develop and implement product increments and efficiently operate digital solutions. Building on priorities you and the squad decide on how to implement priority user stories. You will be fully in charge of the tasks you have assigned to yourself and for applying your technical expertise and experience with the strive to improve the value built for our and your client.

Your main responsibilities:
- In interaction with the responsible Product Owner and Scrum master, understand priorities and shape stories for the upcoming Product sprint.
- Understand the needs, systematically collect requirement across individual customers and translate those into technical specifications.
- Participate and actively contribute to the scrum events and delivering on stories and tasks.
- Help improve the quality of user stories captured in the backlog.
- Estimate own capacity to deliver on stories.
- Proactively share relevant expert knowledge, experience and insights with the squad.
- Keep squad updated on own work status, i.e., provide updates on the work completed and planned at daily scrum meetings.
- Identify, raise and help address potential impediments.
- Identify and help implement improvements to the squad's collaboration and delivery efficiency.
- Run Tests on the UAT environment (User acceptance test)
- Support the Transformation into Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Guided by the Chapter Lead, continuously grow own technical and functional expertise to become more effective in contributing to your mission.
- Adopt agile ways of working orchestrated by the Scrum Master.
- Ensure quality assurance on changes applied. Utilize the Quality Assurance & Testing Chapter and automate test cases where most effective.
- Ensure to act on incidents & high visibility requests and proactively drive resolutions with focus on the customer happiness, communication and collaboration with the Product Owners, Product Excellence CoE and/or the Major Incidents Management team

About the Team

The Role is within the Data Engineering & Analytics product team (DEA) that forms part of a Product Area that takes care of all digital solutions for Sourcing, Finance Group Operations, Legal, Compliance, Audit and some of Group Digital Transformation's portfolio at Swiss Re. DEA product team is ultimately responsible for the overall ownership, maintenance and delivery of the overall Data management landscape that are integral to business reporting requirements for Sourcing, Compliance and Finance business areas within Swiss Re. Collaborating with data engineers, BI developers and analysts within the squad, is crucial to being able to design and deliver product improvements in an Agile set up in providing value adds for our stakeholders.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

- Database exposure (SQL, Oracle, …), Database modelling knowledge is a plus
