Our advanced analytics team of Swiss Re is looking for an enthusiastic Data scientist who is ready for an exciting career. We do data science beyond dashboards! Our focus is on machine learning & statistical modelling, but we also enjoy data engineering and bringing our models into production. We are a highly skilled team in Bratislava that solves analytics projects around the globe. Whether you are a fresh graduate or more experienced professional, we look forward to getting to know you.

For example, you will:
-help us improve the life of farmers in Brazil with image recognition based on satellite data,
-build models to predict life expectancy or predict the CO2 footprint of companies,
-support many other exciting projects in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.

We reserve time for studying and attending conferences, and we organize our own upskilling sessions as well. In addition to projects for our clients, we also work on innovation projects which allow us to learn new methodologies and gain fresh experience.

Information about the selection process
The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2000 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group. You can look forward to extra rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.

-Knowledge of programming languages Python and/or R
-Knowledge in machine learning, statistical modelling and related technologies
If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus:
-Background in software engineering
-Experience in distributed computing/databases
-Interest in Natural Language Processing and machine learning on geo data
