Job description, responsibilities and duties

On the one hand, you will focus on taking ownership of selected applications and services offered by the chapter. This role requires a detailed understanding of their design, their interaction with the surrounding system landscape, and of the operational processes which are related to those systems. On the other hand, you shall make our existing infrastructure more resilient, and introduce more modern monitoring solutions. Furthermore, you will contribute to the engineering of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and you will devise and deploy cloud infrastructure for our solutions.

Beyond that, you will:

- coordinate the development of service improvements based on user feedback as well as changes required in the context of adaptive maintenance
- overlook service levels, stability, infrastructure utilization, and other metrics to feed these insights back to application developers and other relevant partners
- provide L2 support and respond to operational incidents by conducting impact analysis, root cause analysis, and by crafting and implementing workarounds and fixes
- You lead all relevant communication with customers regarding your services

About the Team

Our product area is an agile organization crafting and maintaining software solutions for information security and identity & access management (IAM) use cases. Our services are at the heart of the corporate infrastructure, and our mission is to equip our employees and Swiss Re's customers with reliable security services that offer an outstanding user experience. Coming from more than 15 different countries, we foster an open culture that encourages and appreciates diversity as the foundation of our strong engineering teams.

The successful candidate will join Chapter Operations, a team responsible for operations and L2/L3 support for our applications and systems. In addition to these operational responsibilities, the team is also tasked to establish modern DevOps practices across all teams. The chapter is based in Bratislava (SK) and works closely with colleagues in Zurich (CH), Riga (LV) and Munich (DE).
