About the Role

You will be responsible for entering claims information into our legacy systems, assessing and processing claims, monitoring reserving levels and supporting several business teams. In addition, you will report comprehensive claims information to the claims handlers, and depending on the level of experience as well as expertise, you may liaise with underwriters, lawyers and brokers on key claims-related issues as well. Your essential responsibilities will include to:

- Examine claims documents received and undertake any required adjustments
- Establish claims files in legacy systems
- Review client inquiries regarding open billing invoices as well as statements from clients and brokers
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of claim documents, including claims payments and claims setup, sending of acknowledgement letters, and other non-core claims processes
- Identify potential claims to be referred to appropriate personnel
- Provide operational support as needed to various business departments
- Communicate with customers via phone and written correspondence to obtain specific claim information as needed
- Work with the Accounting team to book corrections and assure ledger accuracy
- You may be involved in many interesting projects that have a link to claims administration, systems and/or reporting
