We are looking for a business analyst with good understanding of finance/investments and love for data.

We need your help with creation, maintenance and quality assurance of financial instruments' underlying input data (security master, portfolio master and accounting data), as well as desig, documentation and testing of processes and interfaces related to the Investment Accounting system.

YOU WILL:
- Participate in projects or lead small to mid-size projects with defined scope related to development, migration and integration of new systems, data management solutions and platforms by creating specifications, cooperating with business analysts, testing and signing-off the results.
- Supervise and monitor the outsourced data management activities to ensure they are performed on timely basis and as designed, together with further analysis when required
- Interact, communicate and collaborate with the external service provider and other departments (Asset management, Finance and IT)
- Ensure integrity, accuracy and reliability of accounting and reporting figures related to a wide range of investment products, including bonds, equities, ABS/MBS, exotic derivatives, infrastructure investment
- Create and process of transfers of securities between investment portfolios
- Verify accuracy of yields, amortization, market data and research discrepancies and perform corrections and assess reasonableness if no source is available
- Develope, maintain and test data interfaces to guarantee an optimal security master data flow throughout the Asset Management and Finance IT landscape and promptly detect and address any issues or deficiencies in the data flow
- Security classification for reporting and regulatory purposes, including NAIC, Solvency II, US GAAP, IFRS…
- Assist in processing, compiling, balancing, and reconciling of new Legal Entities


ABOUT THE TEAM
As Global Investment Reporting (GIR) team we have the ownership of the Investment Financial Accounting sub-ledger for investments for all valuations and related reporting deliverables, across different locations. The data management team is an integral part of the GIR based on Bratislava. We need motivated colleague to help us with the data management as in our team we always want to complement one another´s skills and foster strong team culture.

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree in Economics, preferably Accounting, Finance/Banking/Investments
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and general knowledge of financial markets
- Some previous related experience
- Language skills: English fluent written and spoken
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
- Knowledge of Investment or banking systems is an advantage
- Works productively in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty, readily adapts to different ways of doing things
