Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is an important position within iptiQ's EMEA L&H IT team and a unique opportunity to build and enhance our new Digital Platform. The team and technology play a key role in helping to foster a culture of technology excellence, automation, digitisation and better exploitation of data to further enable and accelerate iptiQ's growth ambitions. We are looking for a passionate Junior Product Manager in the agile product management team of our digital platform who will support us in driving further development of our core digital technology.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• You work in the product team to define the product vision
• You help in setting the objectives and key results
• You support in building a strategic product roadmap that fits in with the
overall strategy of the digital platform
• You speak to users and partners to collect feedback
• You are collaborating closely with the agile domain teams to deliver quality
features and products within the expected timeline
• You capture cross—domain requirements with business owners and other
stakeholders and translate them into business solutions
• You maintain the documentation of iptiQ's standard together with the
business owners and map it to the platform capabilities and features
• You help to maintain the internal standardization tools

iptiQ opens up attractive new risk pools through insurtech operating entities (OEs) within the primary insurance). As wholly owned businesses of Swiss Re, our shared mission is to help close the protection gap in the market and  provide digital insurance solutions, primary insurance knowledge, new tools, and insights that will help reach new markets and offer new products.
 
As part of iptiQ, the Platform Team collaborates with the iptiQ OEs to support them in achieving their commercial goals by delivering innovative and effective digital capability for their distribution partners.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Professional Experience:
• University degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, business administration)
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of digital technologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented agile environment
• Interested in or even experienced with product management related activities
• Experience working on an Agile (e.g. with SAFe) project and collaboration tools is a plus
• Basic programming experience in office tools (MS Power Apps, MS Power BI) to maintain our standardization tools is a plus
• Experience in the primary insurance industry, ideally in protection products is a plus.

Soft Skills:
• Curious about digitalisation and new technologies
• Results-oriented and ambitious with a positive attitude
• Highly proactive, and motivated with a positive can-do attitude
• Actively network and build bridges across teams with different cultures and working environments
