Job description, responsibilities and duties

The role supports our Swiss Re Local Offices withing EMEA in the handling of International Program business for our corporate customers and their brokers. Duties and responsibilities directly impact productivity, process efficiency, timeliness, profitability and accuracy of the underwriting process as well as the service delivery to customers and brokers. Core responsibilities:

- To prepare and issue documents (policies, endorsements and certificates) for Swiss Re Local Offices as part of International Programs
- To accurately reflect the terms and conditions of business written in our administration systems
- To manage & coordinate Local Policy Issuance in close collaboration with the Producing Offices and Local Offices
- To issue invoices where required, including Insurance Premium Tax calculations
- To monitor policy and endorsement creation in the system and make necessary quality checks (skeleton tasks)
- To create policy and perform endorsements for non-automated tasks


Additionally, you will:

- Compile, sort, review and verify data accuracy using source documents, detect errors, and initiate correction while following-up Local Office or process owner regarding any inconsistencies found
- Follow-up on outstanding information or items as per internal guidelines following standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and continuous improvement of our tools and processes by providing user feedback and sharing improvement ideas.




About the Team

In Corporate Solutions Operations we provide support to the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (CorSo) Underwriting Teams in handling insurance and reinsurance business for corporations and/or their captives.

You will be joining the International Program Operations Team based in Bratislava, having a variety of proficiencies, skills and experience, all committed to bring success to Corporate Solutions. In this role you will work closely in a truly global organization with the EMEA Operations teams and Underwriters, as well as with the Producing Office teams (Underwriting Assistants and Underwriters) from other Regions.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) or German - Upper intermediate (B2) or French - Upper intermediate (B2)

You have:

- Bachelor's Degree/Master's degree
- You have experience in the insurance, or related, industry with a solid understanding of process and tools
- You have experience in process imporvement and project work
- Excellent communication skills (reading, written and verbal) in English, German and/or French - any other European language is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate and handle personal work
- Strong user skills in Microsoft Office Package (special focus on Excel)
