About the Team

Be at the forefront of the multi-year end to end Contracts Transformation programme across the Swiss Re Group!Overall, the programme will change the way Swiss Re manages, retrieves and analyses its re/insurance contracts. Through this transformation, we target to have real-time traceability, accountability and auditability of contracts across the value chain; enabled by horizontal and vertical system integration.

Group Contracts is a newly created department in Group Underwriting. We are a global, diverse team which is responsible for delivering a robust governance structure to support the Group Contracts strategy and is seeking a Governance Manager to join our team supporting the transformation project. Reporting to the Head of Group Contracts Governance, you will be part of a robust team of professionals who will help execute the programme´s goal!

About the Role

- Be responsible for all aspects of governance, excluding data. A key focus for the role will cover the relationship between the Business Units and Group. Specific tasks include:
- Support implementation of the strategic deliverables for the Transformation project
- RCSA and key control management, including GRACE
- Content/Quality Management. Installation and maintenance of feedback loop to Group Compass.
- Own, maintain and enhance our global consistency guidelines, standard methodologies, alerts and contract recommendations
- Oversight of the smart circle as it relates to Group Contracts
- Ensure business processes are aligned globally by using global standard methodology
- Oversight and support of IRR and GIA related audit activity
- Show technical leadership in respect of high exposure advice to the transformation team and the BUs

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

- Solid re/insurance experience (>5 years), with a preference for Contracts or Underwriting
- Extensive governance experience, with preference given to a good understanding of legal and contractual principles, and practices relating to re/insurance
- Relevant tertiary education, with preference for legal qualifications
- Effective communication skills, cross-cultural experience, problem solving and project management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of partners
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and able to thrive with ambiguity
- Understand and translate Swiss Re's strategic objectives into practical action plans and to balance big picture themes with day to day operational activities; setting the right priorities by assessing strategies to ensure that we deliver clear and definite client and shareholder value.
