- Perform daily cash and position reconciliation on investment portfolios
- Investigate root cause of exceptions on daily basis and seek for resolution by collaborating with internal and/or external partners
- Ad-hoc problem solving by responding to queries from internal and external parties
- Efficiently prioritize tasks based on risk and deadlines
- Collaborate with team members on ad hoc tasks, initiatives and projects
- Strive for digitalization, operational improvement and efficiency
- Being agile to rotate across tasks and responsibilities based on business needs
- Engagement in activities at department, location or group level

About the Team

Our Asset Management (AM) team creates an efficient operating environment which supports all financial market activities conducted by Swiss Re (SR). SR AM invests in a multitude of innovative products and asset classes, including catastrophe bonds, infrastructure loans, private equity funds, derivatives and many more. We facilitate and have oversight of every single one of our global investment transactions, be it trades, payments or investment income. Our hands-on approach in actively investigating, limiting and reporting any risks resulting from this activity protects the company from financial losses and ensures regulatory compliance. An exciting part of what you will do involves looking at the design of our processes and systems, and applying creative thinking to make everything work even better in the future.

You would join the Investment Account Control Services (IACS) unit, which consists of 3 teams supporting various functions globally. As an associate, you will be part of the Aladdin & Efront reconciliation team of 5-6 people. Your responsibility would be primarily for cash and asset reconciliations – primarily fixed income, derivatives and alternative investments - in Aladdin.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Relevant work experience in financial services or a comparable team is preferred
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another related degree
- Knowledge in investment markets and/or operations is an advantage
- Demonstrate a set of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and disciplined working behavior
- Able to foster a positive attitude in the team through engagement
- Strong teammate and communicator
- Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure and resolve complex tasks
- Strong PC skills
- Able to navigate in varius PC tools and work closely with IT departments on improvements
