About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an interim Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in iptiQ EMEA L&H. Reporting to the CFO and with routine exposure to the CEO and executive team, the vacancy is to backfill a maternity leave up to end Q2 2021. Your focus will cover the management of our US GAAP & EVM results. You will preferably be based in London or Zurich, but we will consider candidates in other European cities that we operate from.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Quarterly internal reporting to Senior Management and the Business Unit as well as ad hoc reporting and business performance analysis
- Financial planning and analysis in coordination with key function holders and related Business Unit entities.
- Establishing reliable and efficient processes, drive operational excellence to improve quality and reduce operational risk.
- Providing insightful financial analysis to your business partners, supporting the business in leading and achieving its key financial performance indicators relating to the assigned legal entities.
- Engaging with a wide range of colleagues to support the operating entity and business unit in achieving its strategic priorities and financial targets
- Leading a small team to support you in this role.

About You

- You have a strong understanding of the L&H insurance / reinsurance sector, preferably with a direct insurer of L&H risk products.
- You are a professionally qualified accountant or have an equivalent education (BA, MA) with a minimum of 7 years' experience in the industry. Insurance accounting experience / knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards, plus experience in economic valuation is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with data and systems to apply good business judgement as well as independently deliver timely and impactful outputs.
- Self-motivated and managed to deliver results to deadlines with high levels of coordination and teamwork.
- Confirmed relationship builder and motivating individual who can engage and inspire others in a cross-functional international environment.
- Your command of English is excellent
