Job description, responsibilities and duties

Are you a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them improve and deliver their best work? You will work directly to advise and oversee performance against Agile values, practices, and processes. Working with the Product Owner and CoE, Tribe and Chapter leads, you will support the work of the Squad(s) by maintaining the backlog and facilitating Scrum ceremonies like stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You will ensure team performance is monitored through the Squad(s)'s dashboard and help identify continuous improvement opportunities to help the team work better and smarter

You will be expected to:
1. Enable the organization’s new way of working
- Model behaviours to support the organization’s transformation
- Actively create and maintain culture within Squad(s) based on the org. & Agile leadership behaviours

2. Work with Squad(s) to embed and reinforce Agile practices and behaviours
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives and other Scrum ceremonies
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to help drive Agile maturity

3. Help your team leads to ensure latest work status is recorded and prioritized
through backlog
- Review and manage backlog items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate
- Ensure work is appropriately balanced across team & that all work is captured within backlog

4. Support Squad(s) to track output through dashboards and other reporting systems
- Facilitate agreement within Squad(s) to determine which metrics are applicable to track progress
- Enable Squad(s) to maintain process metrics and artefacts, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting
- Create burn-down charts to measure Squad(s) output over time

5. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the work of the Squad(s)
- Engage with Chapter Leads to help identify and deliver against training needs to support Agile practices
- Observe and engage individual Squad members to identify opportunities to improve


About the Team

The Data Platform Engineering & Operations Product Area develop and advance the Swiss Re Group (data & analytics) platform landscape with the goal of achieving democratization of capabilities (platforms, tools and SaaS services) for enabling the creation of innovative solutions to data driven business needs.

Enable the Swiss Re Group to efficiently utilize the platforms as well as ensure its availability and proper functioning.

The scope of the Product Area includes:
- Stargate - Fully democratized platform that enables the Swiss Re group to perform data driven analysis and create data driven solutions across all spectrums of complexity and required technical expertise
- Analytics Services – Analytics capabilities (platforms and SaaS services) for enabling the delivery of analytics data driven analysis and productive solutions
- Document Analytics Solutions – Natural Language Understanding solutions to enable more efficient business processes and decision making
- The engineering and advancement of the Data Warehousing platforms
- The engineering and advancement of the Master Data Management platforms
- The engineering and advancement of the Data Lifecycle Management platform
- General platform operations and service management as per the best practices in the industry
- Strategic management of vendors and partners required to deliver on the platform opportunities
