About the Team

We in Enterprise Architecture design and drive a coherent enterprise by ensuring architecture is aligned with Swiss Re's strategy and operating model. We cover all architectural layers and use different perspectives to design a coherent enterprise architecture.

We translate strategy into architecture and drive the transformation end-to-end being involved in key initiatives and projects of high strategic relevance. To do so, we provide a broad range of architecture services including:
- Business Process and Capability Architecture
- Information Architecture
- Application Architecture
- Governance Design and Mentorship
- Solution Architecture

About the Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team in Bratislava. You will be responsible for delivering high quality and cross-domain enterprise architecture services, with the focus on Information Architecture and Information Governance.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to actively work in a cross-functional, global, and dynamic environment with colleagues across Business Functions and Information Technology, and to apply end-to-end architecture development frameworks and consulting methodologies. You will execute and support enterprise-wide and cross-functional information architecture improvements while maintaining the long-term view to meet customer requirements and key business objectives.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
- You understand the importance of business and IT strategies as well as evolving business needs with regards to information architecture and governance
- You are responsible for shaping and driving data topics of strategic relevance across the company
- You build and leverage networks of architects and data professionals across all parts of Swiss Re
- You globally collaborate with partners to identify improvement opportunities with regards to Swiss Re's data landscape, propose initiatives, and lead change in coordination with Business and IT experts.
- You actively promote a culture of change through providing excellent services to internal customers tailored to their needs and priorities
- You develop and maintain data standards and data governance frameworks
- You drive discussions and provide consultation around innovations in the areas of data analytics and digital transformation
- You collaborate and engage with business authorities, the master data management team, data owners, application owners, and other partners
- You thrive while working under pressure in a complex environment and you are able to think in the big picture to identify and prioritize focus areas
- You are curious to learn new things and change excites you

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About You

Qualification and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information management, computer science, mathematics, physics or similar field of study
- Work experience as an Information / Enterprise Architect, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar roles

Skills and Personal Characteristics:
- Understanding of fundamental enterprise data management concepts like master data management, data modelling, and data dictionaries
- Ability to analyze data hands-on through basic knowledge of SQL and ideally of NoSQL databases
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to explain, visualize, and convince in communication with expert and management audiences
- Self-starter attitude with a passion for delivering and getting things done
- Eagerness to grow and thrive in a complex and challenging environment
- Prior experience in or exposure to data governance is a bonus
- Familiarity with key aspects of cloud environments is a plus

Language requirements:
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English, further languages are an asset
