About the team:
The Corporate Solutions Global FP&A Services team supports managing and steering the financial performance of the business unit Corporate Solutions and its regional and product management teams. We are constantly developing and strengthening our capabilities to act as true business partners and providing insightful and meaningful reporting to our decision makers. Working within the Finance Corporate Solution team, you will join a highly motivated and dynamic team within an interesting and complex environment and will get the opportunity to build up and further enhance reporting, consolidation & analytical capabilities.

About the role:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support financial analysis, reporting (Nominal, US GAAP and Economic Value Management) for the Corporate Solutions business unit. Specifically, you will manage and execute quarterly reporting processes and deliverables to support FP&A Region leads, Products leads, and Product owners. This include budgeting & projections, preparation of management reports and reconciliation tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to get a strong overview of some of the most interesting corporate insurance products of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, coupled with very close collaboration with regional and product teams.

Key responsibilities:
• Perform specific reconciliations to ensure accurate quarterly reporting of Nominal, US GAAP and Economic Value Management of the business unit
• Ensure operational excellence by managing the performance and reporting of quarterly and annual internal controls
• Actively participate in budgeting & projections, prepare management reports and performance analysis
• Act as business partner to other finance functions and the business, through delivery of high quality and timely performance management information and insights
• Develop a solid understanding of Economic Value Measurement for underwriting and investment activities and understand the differences compared to traditional valuation approaches
• Provide customized / ad-hoc performance and analysis
The ability to perform the above tasks with a high degree of autonomy, while leveraging on and working closely with all relevant stakeholders.

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you:
• University graduate with a primary or higher degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance/accounting/economics and with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the insurance/reinsurance
• Previous project management skills desirable. Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into report/presentations design and processes
• Strong ability to analyse and interpret financial data
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines and manage details without losing site of the "big picture"
• Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Flexibility to work in both a collaborative team environment as well as independently
• eam player with clear communication skills with demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, challenge the status quo, and implement change
• Agile and flexible, ability to operate within a changing environment and navigate ambiguity. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritize
• Capable of building trust with all areas of the business
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Stress resilient, with the ability to work independent
• Demonstrate personal accountability for area of responsibility
• Advanced excel skills desirable
• Experience in USGAAP / IFRS / EVM desirable
