iptiQ is a dynamic and growing start-up unit within the Swiss Re Group, established to provide innovative protection solutions directly to consumers. Our team delivers the coordination, infrastructure and competences that are key to driving forward this new business; working closely with our partners and clients. You will join a growing team of Life & Health Underwriting and Claims Experts who are responsible for supporting major markets across EMEA on the business side, including case assessment and various client needs. You will work closely with regional and cross-functional partners.

About the Role:
Being there at the moment a client needs is the reason iptiQ exists and the Claims Assessor role involves direct interactions with our clients at their time of need and when they are most vulnerable. As a Claims Assessor based in Bratislava you will support all the activities of our Claims teams based in the major cities across Europe. Following a period of intensive training, you will use your experience and know how, alongside our world leading support tools and medical experts, to make recommendations on individual Claims. As your skills grow, you will also participate in other services which we provide to our clients, including reporting, product development, training material preparation and translations.
Once fully proficient, you will be responsible for dealing with the following:
- Daily review, monitoring and completion of the claims workload.
- Proactively manage and adjudicate Life & Health claims, considering both medical, financial and title evidence.
- Analyze monthly claims data and prepare data slides for key stakeholders.
- Monitor and audit the performance of 3rd party claims service providers.
- Provide technical input and sign off on product design and customer literature.
- Preparation for client facing activities, such as trainings and audits.
- Support for translation of claims and underwriting related documents and tools such as Life Guide.
- Show active drive and passion for our customer centric culture.
Other activities/accountabilities:
- You will perform other position related tasks on an ad hoc basis.
- You will provide cover for roles in other teams.
- You might travel to other Swiss Re locations from time to time.

Personality requirements and skills

About You:
- Life & Health (re-)insurance experience with claims or underwriting skills would be a real advantage, but we are open to other relevant backgrounds such as medical knowledge or as a financial specialist.
- You are proficient in English and German.
- You are good in analytical and critical thinking.
- You consistently demonstrate curiosity, energy and interest to learn new things.
- You are flexible and able to prioritize varied demands of multiple partners.
- You have excellent communication skills and are a great teammate that shares knowledge and information.
