As the Head Finance Operations, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to join us: a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovative services together with our clients and partners in the primary insurance space.

Responsibilities
We are developing this new Operational Finance Team related to the start-up business and planned growth and the desire of management to co-locate operational finance. The Team will support the wider iptiQ EMEA P&C business through its set up and growth phase. The team and this role, will have responsibilities for the day-to-day operational finance activities, as well as accounting, reporting, analytics and commentaries according to accounting policies for Group, Local Branch & Entity valuations, Economic, and Solvency II valuation principles.

As the team leader, you are responsible for the management and coordination of the local Bratislava iptiQ EMEA P&C finance team to ensure that the tasks and activities are provided with the highest quality and in accordance to deadlines. You provide hands-on support when required, but also seek possibilities to further develop and improve the team's delivery processes. Your broad skills allow you to support and perform quality checks on deliverables produced by your team to your main customers: the iptiQ EMEA P&C CFO, and the Group Finance and iptiQ Financial Reporting Luxembourg.

Responsibilities include:
• Recruit, lead, develop and manage individual and team performance
• Provide leadership and effective management in all areas of staffing and personnel administration
• Support comprehensive analysis and business commentaries with respect to the accounting policy, reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities according to the management requirements
• Lead the Finance operations activities, such as financial accounting, accounts payables, and expenses.
• Assist the preparation of timely and accurately data for internal and external reporting
• Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
• Support audit activities and prepare requested information in connection with the external audit and other external parties, like regulators or other governmental institutions
• Liaise with stakeholders for both the Operating and Holding company entities across the relevant accounting valuations (US GAAP, Lux stat and IFRS)
• Contribute and support Finance related projects, including new deals
• Represent iptiQ EMEA P&C in Bratislava

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• At least seven years of work experience in the financial services industry (insurance business desirable)
• University degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
• Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit
• Profound knowledge regarding statutory accounting policies and regulatory framework
• Excellent analytical skills with holistic financial thinking
• Strong communication and leadership skills - ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
• Experience in Economic valuations (EVM, Solvency II) is a plus
• Experience in USGAAP/IFRS desirable
• Excellent command of the English language; German and/or French is a plus
