About the Team

We are part of the Swiss Re Institute (SRI). SRI builds competitive advantage in risk knowledge, underwriting and capital allocation. Through our research & development, Swiss Re is recognised as the pre-eminent knowledge company in the insurance industry.

You will join the SRI Research & Engagement team. Our team provide external strategic advice and foresight to support better understanding of our risk landscape and commercial opportunities. We explore ideas and data with leading academic, industry and government partners to create conditions facilitating better decision making. SRI's main goal is to incubate strategic business propositions and ready them for commercialisation.

We differentiate in the competition through client events, client training and programmes for client executives. Brandon Hall awarded Swiss Re Institute's Insurance Management Simulation the Silver Award for "Best Use of Games/Simulations for Learning" in 2021.

About the Role

Are you a passionate learning & development professional who would like to support Swiss Re's client training programmes? We need an individual capable of developing our and improving our training modules; and serving as a host and moderator in virtual training sessions.

In this role, you will develop new courses with industry advisors, redesign existing courses, deliver and evaluate trainings for our global clients (insurance companies, corporates, governments).

Client training is a value-adding service for our preferred clients and an important market differentiator.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- (Re)designing innovative, interactive learning solutions onsite (Zurich), online and blended.
- Analyse learning needs of clients and match them with expertise of SRI and partnerships.
- Applying the latest learning and collaboration theories and trends to ensure clients get the best out of their training.
- Set up and maintain training programmes in our Learning Management System and conference tool built in Adobe Connect
- Coordinate and execute training courses jointly with the business units of Swiss Re. Take full responsibility for delivery and costs of the courses.
- Host, moderate and facilitate courses.
- Build and maintain relationships and work with business specialists, underwriters, event managers and client management team members.
- Assume overall project management for allocated courses, projects and initiatives. Collect and evaluate important metrics of value-adding services for clients.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Minimum five years of experience developing and delivering innovative and interactive training courses
- Knowledge of the processes used to develop and handle interactive training programmes, including developing goals and objectives
- Conduct training assessments and curriculum reviews, and the planning and execution of training
- Facilitation and moderation skills, both person-to-person and virtually.
- Proficient knowledge of learning management software, online conferencing tools and computer savvy
- Experience delivering training through multiple channels, including online learning, in person and multi-media formats (e.g. miro board, slido, whiteboard).
- Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients, internal professionals and training partners.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills.
- General and wide-ranging interest in all risk and insurance relevant topics
- Good planning and project management skills, with a healthy level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated track record in taking the lead on key projects and working independently to meet critical metrics.
