Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you can build an expertise in two different reward areas: Core Reward and Pensions & Benefits. You will be part of global reward team, involving yourself in both cyclical work and various projects.

As a member of our Reward Service Delivery (RSD) team you will run key activities associated with the delivery of Swiss Re Reward programmes and Reward strategy. You will work with other colleagues to provide consistent support to our internal clients in all functions and locations. Your role in Group Pensions & Benefits team focuses on global benefits programmes.

The Reward team (which is just under 40 people in 5 locations) seeks to provide best-in-class Reward solutions for Swiss Re (in key matters of Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility) that are compliant and sensitive to business, risk and financial requirements as well as aligned to the Group Reward Strategy. It is a Centre of Excellence with a real passion for quality, supporting the delivery of an integrated service for HR and the Business on all matters of Reward. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to be part of the Reward team and become a member of two units.

•Specific support to the annual compensation review process globally, ensuring data quality, process and document management and system operational readiness.
•Assist the RSD Manager with driving the maturity of reporting and analytics capability within RSD.
•Provide the analysis and recommendations on aspects of compensation and also serve as guide for assigned programmes ensuring all actions taken are effectively aligned with the current Standard on Compensation.
•Collaboration with the Team on internal audits and controlling issues (US-GAAP, IFRS, PwC).
•Along with the Core Reward Manager work with the Group and Executive Compensation Team on the execution of plan design and administration.
•Provide statistical data and analysis to support central Reward reports and papers.
•Take a prominent role in the day to day operation of our group benefits programmes including the International Pension and Risk plans, our global long service award programme and our internal captive insurer programme; and lead on the annual global benefits inventory update.
•Provide support to local HR teams on the group benefits programmes as necessary.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

University degree.
3-6 years' experience in Compensation and Benefits, preferably within a global organisation
Comfortable with working in a cross-cultural, cross-functional team (matrix environment)
Strong analytical skills including the ability to offer alternative and creative solutions
A self-starter who takes ownership and pride in high quality work
Advance expertise with MS Office tools, specifically excel
Ability to work in an unstructured environment, under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Good stakeholder management
Strong communication skills, both oral and written English (German and Slovak is an asset)
