Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role, you will support the Head GS Finance Process & Controls in driving excellence, transparency and managing risks within Finance Operations processes through the development and implementation of internal control systems and key metrics.

Main tasks:
• Analyse data out of system reports in detail and able to prepare summary on reports to management based on guidance from senior team members.
• Create data mining models based on requirements and analysis objectives
• Continuously align and adjust data mining models with respect to business requirements
• Integrate and maintain data sets from external and internal sources in tactical performance data repository
• Enrich system data with additional mappings and allocations, in line with performance measurement, data quality, and governance standards
• Use knowledge of existing data to propose and develop performance based insights for Finance
• Help GBS Finance to derive competitive advantage from our data assets and analytic capabilities
• Key participation in suggesting improvements / simplification on current processes within Process & Controls and be an active member to drive it until end.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Finance or similar
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in data analytics and process engineering, risk management, audit or other assurance functions
• Basic understanding of reporting processes or experience in a Controlling or Finance department is a plus
• Strong knowledge of process design, performance measurement and benchmarking
• Self-motivated and able to perform tasks independently
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in MS office applications, Visual Basic and data integration across systems.

• Very strong analytical skills (statistics, data exploration / visualization)
• Strong MS Excel knowledge
• Knowledge of MS Access, PowerPivot, SQL and advanced analytics platform (e.g. SSAS, SAS etc.)
• Programming and data management skills required
• Knowledge of main insurance and reinsurance products a plus
