About the role

We are looking for a new team member to lead the Portfolio Accounting and Controls Central team reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations and working closely with the wider iptiQ Finance team, Data Operations Team, Distribution Partners and Third-Party Distributors.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Lead and develop Portfolio Accounting and Controls Central Processes Team (3+ accountants) with ownership of related technical accounting processes
- Produce accurate and complete trial balances at both a Legal Entity and Branch level in the various reporting GAAPs for the iptiQ Life SA and iptiQ Holdings Ltd Legal entities. Assist preparation of timely and accurately data for internal and external reporting
- Monitor and analyse iptiQ's performance during the year, ensuring ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements across all valuations
- Drive continuous improvement and a process excellence culture through involvement in the development of systems and processes to efficiency and control requirements.
- Partner with External Third Party Administrators (TPA), to ensure Finance has the appropriate oversight and controls in place to ensure Policy Holder Data is correctly calculated and booked correctly in our ledger.
- The Finance team will have numerous responsibilities for day-to-day operational finance activities as well as accounting, reporting, analytics and commentaries according to accounting policies for Group, Local Branch & Entities, Economic, and Solvency II valuation principles for iptiQ Life SA and iptiQ Holdings Ltd where relevant.
- Facilitate the audit process and work with auditors where required.
- Accurate calculation and booking of internal and external retrocession agreements
- Contribute and support Finance related projects, including new deals and other ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Five or more years of work experience in the financial services industry
- University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration
- Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of statutory accounting policies and regulatory framework
- Excellent analytical skills with holistic financial thinking
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
- Strong evidence of managing external relationships and deliverables
- Experience in USGAAP/IFRS desirable
- PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Teammate with good interpersonal skills
- Engaging and motivating
- Excellent command of the English language

Minimum base salary for this job is from 2 500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. *
