About the Role
In this role, you will develop an excellent understanding of core underwriting processes such as UW standards and referrals, gain hands on experience across a host of operational and strategic topics as well as work closely with senior leaders.

You will interact with the Group CUO, as well as senior leaders in the BUs to drive Group Underwriting contribution to the efficient execution of core group-wide underwriting operations.

Management of Group UW Standards and referrals processes:
• Maintain the group-wide repository of UW standards
• Maintain EC approved UW Standards updated in Compass in a timely manner. Initiate changes where required. Perform annual review
• Process Manager for Group-level referrals in eBoard
• Manage and maintain the group-wide tool for referrals including definition of workflows
• Maintain a transparent and auditable referral process that is compliant with external governance and regulations
• Ad hoc tasks on request of CUO/Head Operations & Strategic initiatives

Divisional Operations Office & Strategic Initiatives Tasks:
Support the Head of Operations & Strategic Initiatives in:
• Managing the internal communications activities including newsletters, interviews, announcement; defining, setting up and managing events
• Coordinating the preparation and submission of presentations to the Group Committees
• Overseeing and monitoring the Functions 's performance against Key Performance Indicators
• Other governance tasks (budgeting, FTEs monitoring etc.)

About the Team
We are looking for a professional, motivated and ambitious Operations & Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager to join the Operations & Strategic Initiatives Team. You will work in a team of diverse professionals who coordinate, lead and execute the Swiss Re Institute (SRI) mandate on behalf of the Group Chief Underwriting Officer& Chairman Swiss Re Institute and the SRI Executive Team.

Personality requirements and skills

About You
Education:
• Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree

Experience:
• 5-7 years' work experience within a multinational financial services / insurance organisation, as well as a career that shows growing levels of responsibility
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting processes is necessary
• Group-wide governance experience beneficial

Business computer skills:
• Strong MS PowerPoint (primary communications medium), Excel and Word skills

Languages:
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken; an additional language would be advantageous
