Job description, responsibilities and duties
You will be part of a larger legal-tech initiative at Swiss Re, which is being executed by the Digital and Smart Analytics Solutions Documents squad. You will act as a linguistic specialist and power-user of a best-in-class linguistic rule-writing tool called Cogito Studio by Expert.ai.

- Together with your colleagues, you will work on the development and curation of domain-specific ontologies and rule bases
- You will develop linguistic rules for the customized extraction of information or classification of documents.
- You consult the team and colleagues on how to build, maintain and use taxonomies over their life-cycle for our projects.

- You have a degree in computational linguistics, mathematics or related field and a deep understanding of language analysis (morphology, syntax, semantics) and at least 2 years of experience in the field
- You have basic programming skills (preferably Python) to write data processing scripts to transform or extract knowledge from unstructured data, including hands-on experience with regular expressions.
- Curious and interested in learning new things
- Energized to exchange with subject mater experts on a periodic basis and to articulate their requirements into workable actions.
- Strong command of English language (both oral and written).
- Experience in project management comes as a plus.
- Knowledge in the legal-tech area comes as a plus.

- You are a great teammate with a ‘can do’ attitude and you like to work in an interdisciplinary and multi-cultural environment. As a matter of trust, we offer you a high degree of flexibility which matches your independent working style.
